Candy crushed it

These spooky stop motion animated social media vignettes were captured for Target corporation for the 2018 Halloween season. Stop motion is a labor of love, but the result is an organic rendering that takes on the humanistic quality of the hands that moved each object frame by frame.

With Ryan at the helm, planning the items to be featured, storyboarding the message, and leading the creative, allowed me to focus on the technicals of production. Dragon Frame was utilised for capture and planning animation. Ryan and I would trade off between animation and capture during this shoot. I was also responsible for doing rough composites for elements that were shot separately. This proved to be especially helpful during post production, as the artist had a clear idea of what was needed as well as a roadmap for how to do it.
