Clearway Minnesota - PSA

These stop motion animated public service announcements for ClearWay Minnesota, give awareness to the vape products targeting kids.

These 12-second spots were directed by Ryan Hanson. He concepted in tandem with director Cari Merryman, storyboarded them, hand-animated the stop motion elements, hand-drew the cell framed slime, and also assumed the role of editor on both spots.

I provided VFX Supervision on set, post-production color correction, paint/roto cleanup for the rigs, smoke simulation, Rendering, and final compositing.

Bracketed HDRI Light Probes were shot on location, to provide real-world lighting for the CG elements in each shot.

The smoke was simulated in 3D, hand-animated hard keyframed emitters, and shadow geometry was created in Cinema 4D. Volumetric smoke FX were simulated in Houdini, rendered with Redshift, and composited in After Effects.
